Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) have emerged across the pharmaceutical industry as promising vehicles for delivering various therapeutic drugs. With LNPs also finding increasing use as effective delivery agents in food and cosmetic applications there is considerable interest in improving the high-shear mixing, microfluidics, and thin-film hydration methods used to prepare them. These small-scale production methods often involve use of several fluidic pumps each delivering a necessary component to create the target LNP. In these preparative protocols, aliquots of reagents must be carefully controlled to maximize quality and yield. A growing number of labs are investing in TESTA Analytical Prep Flowmeters for LNP production as their high accuracy and fast response enables real time control of the flow of reagents from all involved pumps.

Temperature control is crucial for refractive index detectors used in HPLC and GPC/SEC applications because the refractive index of a fluid is significantly affected by temperature changes. Even small temperature fluctuations can cause baseline instability and impact the accuracy of measurements. As part of the ongoing development of our Differential Refractive Index (DRI) detector technology we have developed a new self-adaptive (AI driven) temperature control feature that assures rock solid stability throughout the 30 °C to 80 °C temperature range. Benefiting from this powerful new algorithm our DRI detectors are able to reach a stable baseline in less than half the time of other RI detectors.
