INTERVIEW: OPTIMISED OEM CHROMATOGRAPHY DETECTORS & SYSTEMS
In a new web interview - Carlo Dessy draws upon his 30 years of industry experience to answer a series of probing questions including why would a Liquid Chromatography instrument manufacturer turn to a third-party specialist like TESTA Analytical rather than develop new detector modules in-house?

MONITORING HPLC PUMP PERFORMANCE
HPLC separations have one detail in common: they are reliant on a stable and constant flow rate of solvent and by this they all require constant HPLC pump performance. A new technical report describes the shortfalls of traditional flow measurement techniques and demonstrates how a novel method of continuous monitoring of flow rate can provide real-time validation of the total HPLC system performance and as such, improve reliability of results.

NOT ALL REFRACTIVE INDEX DETECTORS ARE EQUAL
Determination of concentration of samples which do not show absorption in the UV Range can be accomplished by using a differential refractive index detector (DRI). For some process applications however, standard DRI's lack the dynamic range required to measure sample concentrations that are typically higher than in common analytical tasks. Learn more about how we developed an adapted DRI detector to fulfil this application for a polymerisation monitoring customer.
